Two Major Trades In The NHL

Here are the latest headlines.

NHL

There has been two huge trades within the last 24 hours,

Jonathan Quick is no longer with the Los Angeles Kings,

He was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Joonas Korpisalo and Vladislav Gavrikov.

Also, Patrick Kane has found a new home.

Over weeks of speculation, the Chicago Blackhawks finally traded him to the New York Rangers for a 2023 second-round pick, a 2025 fourth-round pick, and Andy Welinsky.

Patrick Kane is now a Ranger.

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Mattias Ekholm from the Nashville Predators for Tyson Barrie.

The Washington Capitals have acquired Marcus Johansson from the Minnesota Wild for a 2024 third-round pick.

NBA

The Toronto Raptors have placed Juancho Hernangomez on waivers and signed Will Barton.  Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
