Bruins Make Several Moves Before Deadline

Here are the latest headlines.

NHL

The Boston Bruins have been busy within the last 24 hours.

The Bruins have signed David Pastrnak to a huge eight-year, $90 million contract extension.

The Bruins also have acquired Tyler Bertuzzi from the Detroit Red Wings for a 2024 first-round draft pick.

Unfortunately,  the Bruins had to place Taylor Hall on long-term injured reserve, (IR.), with a lower-body injury and Nick Foligno on the IR. also with a lower-body injury.

The Detroit Red Wings have signed Dylan Larkin to an eight-year, $69.6 million contract.

The St. Louis Blues have signed Sammy Blais to a one-year, $1 million contract.

The Nashville Predators have traded Mikel Granlund to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a 2023 second-round pick.

The Penguins have traded Teddy Blueger to the Vegas Goldden Knights for Peter Dillbestore and a 2024 third-round pick.

The Winnipeg Jets have placed Mason Appleton on the IR. with an upper-body injury and recalled Jonsson Fjallby.

Finally, the Arizona Coyotes have traded Shayne Gostisbehere to the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2026 third-round pick.
