NHL Offseason Heating Up Again

Here are the latest headlines.

NHL

The NHL offseason was slow yesterday, however, today, it picked up again.

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired Ryan Ellis from the Nashville Predators for Phillippe Myers and Nolan Patrick.

The Dallas Stars have signed Miro Heiskanen to an eight-year, $67.6 million contract extension.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Jared McCann from the Pittsburgh Penguins for Filip Hallander and a 2023 seventh round draft pick.  (Note: McCann is not protected from this month's expansion draft).

MLB

The Chicago White Sox has signed Lance Lynn to a two-year, $38 million contract extension.

Finally, New York Met's Francisco Lindor is out indefinitely with a strained oblique.
