Legendary Manager Dies

Hello sports fans.

Here are the latest headlines.

MLB

I was going to start this entry with a blockbuster trade that happened yesterday, however, at the last minute, breaking news broke out earlier today.

Legendary Los Angeles Dodger's manager, Tommy Lasorda, has passed away at age 93.

I still have that image in my mind of Lasorda running out onto the field with his arms raised when the Dodgers won the 1988 World Series.

RIP. Tommy!

The great Tommy Lasorda.

The New York Mets have acquired Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco from the Cleveland Indians for Andres Gimenez, Amed Rosario, Josh Wolf, and Isaiah Greene.

Lindor is now a Met.

The New York Yankees have acquired Greg Allen from the San Diego Padres for James Reeves.

NHL

The New Jersey Devils have signed Sami Vatenen to a one-year, $2 million contract extension.

NBA

The New York Knicks have signed Taj Gibson.  Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The Knicks also placed Omari Spellman on waivers.

That' all I have for today.

Stay safe, stay healthy.
