Cancellation Of Minor League Means Disaster For Many Teams

Quite a few minor league teams are in trouble.

I've been reading an article in Sports Illustrated  about what is going to happened if the 2020 minor league season is cancelled.

It was announced today that the season is cancelled.

Economically,  the cancelation of the season is going to hurt quite a few teams.

Some teams are going to fold.

In other baseball news, the San Diego Padres have acquired Jorge Mateo from the Oakland Athletics for future considerations.

The Colorado Rockies have signed Matt Kemp to a minor league contract

NHL

The Vegas Golden Knight's have signed Jiri Patera to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Arizona Coyotes have signed Dyson Mayo to a one-year, two-way contract.

NBA

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Jordan Bell and Dean Wade.

The Denver Nuggets have signed P.J. Dozier.

NFL

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Devon Hamilton to a four-year contract.

Finally, the Arizona Cardinals have released Jermiah Braswell.d
