Trade Wire

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Jake Lucchini, Joseph Blandisi from the Pittsburgh Penguins for Phil Varone and Riley Barber.

The New York Rangers have acquired Max Veronneau from the Ottawa Senators for Aaron Luchuk and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2021.

The Vegas Golden Knight's have acquired Alec Martinez from the Los Angeles Kings for a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Denis Malgin from the Florida Panthers for Mason Marchment.

Other NHL News

The New Jersey Devils have placed Louis Domingue on waivers.

The Devils also have recalled Cory Schneider.

The Ottawa Senators have placed Cody Goloubef on waivers.

The Kings have recalled Gabriel Vilardi

Toronto's Andreas Johnsson is out for approximately six months with a knee injury.

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled Evan Bouchard.

The Oilers have also placed Oscar Klefbom on injured reserve and assigned Markus Granlund to Bakersfield.

The Canadiens have recalled Christian Folin.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled Zach Trotman and placed John Marino on injured reserve.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned Joonas Korpisalo and Kole Sherwood to the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters.

The Golden Knights have recalled Nicolas Roy, Zach Whitecloud, and Jimmy Schuldt.

NFL

After 14 seasons, Vernon Davis has announced his retirement.

The Detroit Lions have signed Josh Garnett.  Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The Washington Redskins have picked up Adrian Peterson's option for 2020.

MLB

Finally, the Milwaukee Brewers have signed Brock Holt to a one-year contract.
