Montreal Makes Some Transactions, An Update On Robert

Hello sports fans.

I've got quite a bit of news today, including, an update on Luis Robert, but first, the NHL

NHL

The Montreal Canadiens have signed Ilya Kovalchuk to a one-year, $700,000 contract.

The Canadiens also made two trades.

Montreal has traded Mike Reilly to the Ottawa Senators for a 2021pick and Andrew Sturtz.

The Canadiens also acquired Marco Scandella from the Buffalo Sabres for a 2020 fourth-round pick.

Buffalo Sabre's Victor Olofsson is out for five to six weeks with a lower-body injury.

Buffalo also acquired Michael Frolik from the Calgary Flames for a 2020 fourth-round pick.

New York Islander's Adam Pelech is out for the rest of the season with an Achilles injury.

The Ottawa Senators have sent Erik Brammstrom to the American Hockey League's Belleville Senators.

MLB

The Chicago White Sox has signed Luis Robert to a six-year, $50 million contract.

The Los Angeles Angels have reportedly signed Jason Castro to a one-year, $6.85 million contract.

The Washington Nationals have reportedly Starling Castro to a two-year contract.

The Nationals also reportedly signed Will Harris to a three-year, $24 million.

NFL

The Chicago Bears have signed Eddie Jackson to a four-year, $58.4 million contract.

NBA

Finally, the Brooklyn Nets have placed David Nuaba on waivers.
